a bit fairy tale.

February at a Glance

Anytime is the perfect time for ice cream with the one you love! (Even when it’s the coldest winter night of the month.)

My Puppy hates cherries, so I always get his along with mine whenever we go out for ice cream sundaes - yummm.

I love, love, love celebrating Chinese New Year. The food is to die for and you can’t help but get drawn into that festive feeling when they have the lion dance!

20 minute figure drawing done in my Anatomy for the Artist class. Please disregard the extremely blown-out knee, eek!

My studio space is slowly being taken over by empty Mountain Dew cans and bottles…and empty Chipotle bags.

Drawing from last semester. Yes, I’ve already posted this, but it was in a botanical plate. So I wanted to make it more artsy and less sciency?
Just an excuse to take a short break and fool around in Photoshop, I suppose :)
Lots of projects and sketchbook work to do means very little time for any personal art! But I have fun ❤
I’m qualifying this as a current WIP for an imaginary exhibit on red pandas…A lot of work still needs to go into this, but I need a break xD
Good thing it’s WINTER BREAK. \o/
Hey, guys. Have a bug that I drew.
Ohohohohohoho~
I have two projects due next week, along with two exercises and seven sketchbook entries and here I am submitting something I finished like two weeks ago.
What is my life.
Oh, hey, Tumblr! Long time no see…
What’s that? What have I been up to? Oh, you know, just some Biomedical Art projects that I lose sleep and apparently two pounds per week over because I’m not eating in between all the drawing. Not much, you know.
Okay, okay, but seriously, I’m totally loving actually BEING in my major now instead of foundation where it was just crazy-crazy-artsy-fartsy-everything-is-everywhere kind of stuff. BIOMED RULEZ! I miss Tumblr sooooo much though.
I should go back to work…

So, um, these aren’t all of the little illustrations I did for my Digital Synthesis final, but it’s some!

This project was to create an interactive Keynote presentation - a project that sort of followed the same concept as “choose your own path” storybooks.

I decided to be really cheesy and ran with a joke that I had with a friend about CIA being like Hogwarts (I wish!). There was an acceptance letter, buying your paintbrush (wand, haha), and a process of consulting the sorting portfolio to see which environment you should be in.

It was super fun :D!

I’M HOOOME.
I’m so terribly elated to never have to go back to the college dorms again. The disorganization and filthiness was too much for me to handle in the end D: I guess I’ve grown up too accustomed to the flawless cleanliness that my mother and sister have always so ardently valued.
Still, I’m sad that the year is over! Friends, classes, projects, and learning how to think in a completely different way than I was used to in high school was a truly great experience.
So, now that the year is over and I’m enjoying what will probably be one of the few summers I have left in my life (maybe even the last), I’ll post some schoolwork as I find them around all of the piles of stuff that I brought home!
This assignment was to draw something significant about hands and/or feet, so I chose to go with the idea of a performance and how hands can create something, but at the same time there’s the pressure of having no room for mistakes.
I’d like to think that I got better at drawing…xD

Guys. This is the project I’m most proud of right now.

In my Integrated Media Elective our first large scale project was to create a game, so I made this game based on the food chain. Each animal was traditionally drawn and rendered and then digitally colored.

MY PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT YET. THE TIME TAKEN WAS INSANE, OKAY?

I love the octopus the most.
